Turn any text into speech and make your activities more accessible and dynamic

Creating interactive games is now even easier. With the new text-to-speech feature, you can transform the text of your games into playable voices in just one click instead of recording them manually. Generate them from the editor or have Ray create the game with built-in speech.

Games with speech help improve comprehension, accessibility, and the learning experience, especially in language teaching or for students with different needs.

We remember what we hear better than what we simply read. Various studies indicate that information explained by voice can be retained almost twice as much as information that is only read.

That is why we have added a new feature that allows you to automatically generate speech from text, integrating it directly into your games.

From now on, when you create a game in Educaplay you can decide whether to add automatically generated voices to play back the content.

How text-to-speech works

The new feature can be used from the multimedia component of the editor, or when generating activities with Ray.

If you are creating or editing a game, you can convert any of your texts into speech.

  • Go to the Multimedia Content section.
  • Select the Audio option.
  • Enter or check the text you want to be played.
  • Choose the voice you prefer. The tool will detect the language automatically.
  • Adjust the playback speed.
  • Click on Generate.

At that moment Educaplay will automatically create the speech.

You do not need to generate each speech clip in the game one by one. There is an option to generate all speech at once for the elements where you have already entered text.

If you use Ray to generate activities, you can tell it to create the game with built-in speech.

  1. Go to the Settings section of the Ray window.
  2. In Content type, select whether you want to generate text only, speech only, or both elements.
  3. If you have selected it, Ray will automatically generate speech for each element of the game that supports it.

This allows you to create complete activities with speech in seconds.

Text-to-speech opens new possibilities for creating more accessible, dynamic, inclusive, and memorable games. Whether to reinforce comprehension, practice languages, or facilitate the participation of all students, speech adds a new dimension to educational games.

And the best part is that now you can do it in a matter of seconds and without the need for manual recordings.
